Sustera Foundation was established in 2017 with a vision premised on the need for addressing the climate urgency in the state of Kerala. Our mission is to create a robust lot of passionate individuals who can drive change and lead climate action for Kerala. Our verticals of engagement are multidimensional in nature ranging from research, policy, grassroots mobilization to entrepreneurship development and climate education. In the last 5 years we have extensively worked towards handholding stakeholders in co-creating Climate Resilient & Climate Responsible Communities and scaling up climate solutions.

Leadership
Program
In 2017 SUSTERA Foundation curated the Climate Leadership program, a fully-funded, 10-week intensive leadership training program for passionate youth from diverse backgrounds who want to work on climate action. SUSTERA's pioneering initiative intends to create a corps of climate leaders to combat climate change, better communities' lives, and work with the government and other stakeholders to fix the issue.

Campaign
The Sustera Foundation's project, Susതീരം, aimed to improve the sustainability of the coastal belt of Vettucaud in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Working with the local church and its youth groups, the project aimed to mobilize the youth and raise awareness about environmental pressures faced by the vulnerable coastal communities
